Behind the lens

“I love light.”

Whether it’s the golden glow of sunset or the gentle first light of dawn, light is the essence of what makes a photograph come alive.

My fascination with photography began with a storm, an electrical tower, and my father’s patient attempt to capture a lightning strike. That image stayed with me. Years later, the digital revolution brought my two passions—photography and technology—together.

My photography has appeared in books—including Curious George Discovers the Stars—as well as magazines, travel guides, exhibits, business publications, and weather applications. I also provided the photography for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office 2023 Annual Report. I am a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography and have served as a camera-club president and competition judge across Long Island.
